Vail America Days

Each year, Vail America Days takes over downtown Vail. The event is packed with family-friendly events, including one of Colorado’s largest Independence Day parades. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m., but you’ll want to arrive early to secure parking in the Vail Village parking garage and snag a good viewing spot street-side. Dance along to the gliding sounds of bluegrass floats and cheer on the Boy Scouts as they toss candy to the crowd.

Once the downtown show is over, wander over to the ski resort and satisfy your adrenaline rush with a trek up the mountain. Ride the gondola down and bask in the warm Centennial State sunshine. The resort offers an array of summertime adventures, including their mountain coaster, zipline, summer tubing, and bike rentals. When the sun sets, find a grassy spot in the valley and watch the smoke from the fireworks disappear into the Rockies.
